LC’s translation process
In our translation process, from the moment the client approach us with a translation need until the moment we receive acceptance and approval of our end target text, we apply our 3Ps rule, where the Ps stand for:
- Preparation – this is the phase where we review the client’s needs and target text, in order to reach an agreement on the project’s timeline, quality requirements, and budget.
- Production – in this second phase of the translation project cycle, where a first draft of the translation is produced, together with supporting deliverables, notably, the glossary, if applicable.
- Perfection – in this third and last phase of the translation process, a thorough quality assurance is applied, including revision and proofreading/editing. The quality assurance may also include feedback from the clients on the target text, including nuances such as preferred style, register, terminology or jargon.
